(KFGO/KNFL) The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks season is still alive. F-M overcame an early deficit and defeated the Kansas City Monarchs 8-5 on Wednesday at Legends Field.
With the win, the RedHawks and Monarchs will play a deciding third game of the American Association West Division finals series.
Kansas City built an early 3-1 lead after three innings, but the RedHawks tied the game in the top of the 6th on a Manny Boscan two-run homer. Each team scores twice in the 7th inning.
In the top of the 8th, Sam Dexter’s RBI single gave F-M a 6-5 lead. John Silviano and Alec Olund added RBI hits in the top of 9th to give the RedHawks some insurance.
Alex DuBord pitched two scoreless innings to earn the save for the RedHawks. Brady Stover picked up the win in relief for the RedHawks.
