WILLISTON, N.D. (KFGO) – The ND Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in the city of Williston Tuesday. Just before noon, an 18-year-old motorcyclist refused to stop when a Williston police officer tried to pull him over. The motorcycle fled at high speed and was seen attempting to pass cars in the wrong lane of travel. The officer terminated the pursuit for public safety but just one minute later received a report that the motorcycle had collided with an SUV.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to a local hospital where he died. The 51-year-old female driver of the SUV was not wearing her seatbelt and had minor injuries in the crash.
