(KFGO/KNFL) The Minnesota State Amateur Baseball Tournament starts this weekend. Games in Class B and C will be divided between Dundas, Faribault, and Miesville.
In Class B, the Moorhead Brewers are in the 16-team field and will face New Market on Sunday afternoon in Dundas. If the Brewers win, they would continue on August 27th versus Champlin Park or Chaska. The first two rounds of the tournament are single-elimination.
In Class C, the Ada A’s represent Region 10 and will take on Plato in the opening round on Sunday in Faribault. Fergus Falls is the Region 16 champion, receiving a bye. The Hurricanes will open the tournament on August 27th.
The Class B and C tournament are played over three weekends, concluding with the championships on Labor Day.
