WEST FARGO – A van parked under an awning at a West Fargo building construction site caught fire late Friday morning.
Fire units responded to the 300 blk. of 23rd Ave. E., west of Costco. A spray-insulation vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. Crews quickly gained control of the scene and put the fire out.
The construction site had moderate smoke damage. Crews remained on the scene for a time to monitor any remaining hazardous materials in the vehicle. The cause of the fire is under investigation with the cost of damages to be determined. The building will be the location of the Center for Special Surgery according to Fire Chief Dan Fuller.
The West Fargo Fire Dept. was assisted by police, Sanford Ambulance, and the West Fargo Rural Fire Dept.
