WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two high schoolers, one from Elk River and one from Sauk Rapids-Rice, are in Washington D.C. this weekend for the ProStart culinary National competition.
The Minnesota teens will be joining nearly 400 other students from across the country to vie for top culinary and restaurant management honors, as well as almost $200,000 in scholarships.
The Prostart program focuses not just on culinary skills but also on teaching management and business skills.
