GLYNDON, MINN – Local racing this summer ended before it could start at Buffalo River Race Park.
“It has become apparent that because of the health and travel uncertainty placed on this year’s schedule and with our numerous local tracks competing for the same slimmed-down interest, we needed to make a change for the summer of 2020,” said BRRP general manager Kevin Nathe in a statement released on buffaloriverracing.com. “We realized it was to our, and our community’s, best interest to minimize our events and turn our focus to explore other family-friendly businesses that may suit the property and our community better alongside a slimmed-down race schedule. Although we are canceling our normal race schedule for the 2020 season, we do plan on hosting the Corn Cob National on Labor Day weekend, if possible.”
Last year was the 65th anniversary at the track, which was established in 1955.
BBRP has races on Saturday nights during the summer months where fans can see IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Lighting Sprints, INEX Legends and Sport Compact.
