TOWER CITY, ND (KFGO) – Two people from Tower City and a South Dakota woman were those killed in a collision between an SUV and a van east of Tower City late Friday night.
Killed were 40-year-old Matthew Wipf of Tower City, the driver of the van. Also dead are 43-year-old Kathy Wipf of Tower City, a passenger in the van, along with 46-year-old Dorothy Decker of Ipswich, South Dakota, another passenger in the van.
Two other people in the van were hurt as was 16-year-old Sophia Weshnevski of Buffalo. She was driving the SUV.
The state patrol says Weshnevski crossed the center line of Cass County Hwy. 10 shortly after 11:30 p.m. The van and Weshnevski’s SUV collided head-on.
A 37-year-old man South Dakota man, driving a pickup, ran into the SUV following the first crash. He was arrested for DUI and having marijuana. He wasn’t injured.
