North Dakota Democrats have endorsed Bismarck Attorney Fintan Dooley for Ag. Commissioner.
Dooley has been an environmental activist who has been pushing the issue of how oil development has poisoned some soils in the Williston Basin. He said he’s running to start the conversation with current Ag Commissioner Doug Goehring and will be content with the current secretary learning during their discussions.
“This is my last hurrah,” Dooley said. “I believe that I’ll handle myself very well in any discussion of this issue. If he only learns a little bit from this discussion, I’ll be content. I don’t plan on dislodging him.”
Goehring is seeking another term.
