The Fargo City Commission will vote tonight (Monday, April 6, 2020) on whether the June primary will be vote by mail only. It is expected to pass.
Vote by Mail
If passed, all residents will receive an absentee ballot application. Applications will need to be filled out and sent back to receive a ballot.
Mike Montplaisir doesn’t expect any lag in results, but says he does suspect the number of ballots canvassed after election day will be more than the usual 600-700.
In a typical election cycle, it is a good rule of thumb to mail your application in at least a week before the election. In this circumstance, they hope residents will mail in the application as soon as they can.
The postmark deadline for your ballot will be Monday, June 8th.
