BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – A man died when the car he was driving collided with a truck on Highway 10 near Bismarck on Friday.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the 31-year-old man, Abdulkadir Abdi, from Bismarck, was traveling eastbound when he lost control of his car. The NDHP said road conditions were icy due to rain and sleet.
After losing control, the car entered the westbound roadway of Highway 10 in the area of 112th Street NE and crashed into the truck. Both vehicles came to a rest in the north ditch.
The man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. The truck driver, Paul Silbernagel, 68, also from Bismarck, was not injured.
This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
