David Cook
FARGO (KFGO) – The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education approved the hiring of David Cook as the new president of North Dakota State University Wednesday afternoon. Cook is currently a vice-chancellor at the University of Kansas.
The board chose Cook to fill the position after conducting interviews throughout the morning and going into executive session to make the decision. Other finalists for the job were Marymount University Provost Hesham El-Rewini and University of Minnesota Morris-Crookston Chancellor Mary Holz Clause.
Cook is expected to assume the presidency by July 1. He will succeed Dean Bresciani whose contract was not renewed.
