STEELE, N.D. (KFGO) – An investigation has begun after a man was found dead in rural Kidder County Monday afternoon.
Sheriff Barry Vannatta reports a body was located in a ditch along Highway 36 just after 12 p.m.
The man, identified as 56-year-old Timothy Becker of Robinson, had left his vehicle after turning onto a low maintenance road. Sheriff Vannatta says an autopsy is currently being conducted to determine the cause of death. He says it appears Becker got lost in white-out conditions and left his vehicle after turning onto the minimum maintenance road.
