From the fine folks behind College Humor comes a new streaming service, but the content doesn’t include old episodes of M.A.S.H. or the latest Ryan Reynolds blockbuster. No, Dropout TV is populated with a lot of interesting shows and gameshows that draw watchers in with a simple promise…you won’t see anything else like this…ANYWHERE.
It should be noted that most of this show is pop culture, improv and general nerd-ness. Which is a total hit for me! And a lot of other people who are tuning in. Let’s take a quick look at the programming.
Um, Actually – a personal favorite. A gameshow where the host makes a statement about a piece of pop culture, but there is one part of the statement that is wrong. The contestants buzz in and start with “Um, actually….” and state what is wrong. Hilarious. It is literally the argument all good nerds and geeks have every single day.
Total Forgiveness – two young people crippled with student debt will be ANYTHING to have their student loans repaid. Each episode gets deeper and deeper into the “Will they…”
Game Changer – A game show that changes the game every time and the contestants don’t know the format. Unpredictably awesome.
Dimension 20, WTF 101, The Rank Room, Cartoon Hell, Troopers, See Plum Run, Paranoia, Gods of Food, Kingpin Katie, Where in the Elf is Sarah Cincinnati, Breaking News: No Laugh Newsroom and more!
Here is the bad news, it is a subscription service. In my humble opinion, it is well worth the small monthly fee for the quality of the entertainment you get on your mobile device, smart televisions or computers. Good work, gang!
