CIRCLE PINES, Minn. – A large outdoor storage shed at the Circle Pines Fleet Farm went up in smoke on Thursday afternoon, with firefighters from surrounding cities responding to the incident in an effort to help put out the inferno.
Towers of black smoke could be seen flooding from the store on multiple Minnesota Department of Traffic cameras.
The fire was upgraded by firefighters as a three-alarm fire around 12:45 p.m., with the pillar of smoke continuing to flood from the store.
The 30 foot by 100-foot barn was reportedly fully engulfed in flames at the store located just off of Interstate 35W.
Crews from the SBM Fire Department shared that they arrived at around 12:30 p.m., and others followed after.
Fire crews from Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View, Centennial, Lexington, Lino Lakes, Fridley, Andover, and Lake Johanna have all responded to the fire but are having difficulty putting it out due to the cold freezing their lines.
It is currently unknown how the fire started, but it now appears to be under control.
