ST. PAUL, Minn. – Officials in the Twin Cities are weighing whether to lift the vaccine mandate for restaurants earlier than planned.
The mandate went into effect last month and requires customers at all restaurants and similar venues to be vaccinated or to have a recent negative test for COVID-19.
St. Paul is planning to end its mandate much sooner, though a specific date is not mentioned.
In Minneapolis, Mayor Jacob Frey says the mandate could be lifted by the end of the week but first wants to review data regarding a decline in Omicron cases.
