EAGAN, Minn. – The preliminary snowfall totals from Friday’s winter storm are impressive in the southeast part of the Twin Cities.
The National Weather Service reported 20 inches last night in Woodbury, 18 in Eagan, 15 at Bloomington, and 13 inches on the ground in Apple Valley. Windom in southwestern Minnesota and the North Mankato area had nine inches and about six inches fell around Rochester. The State Patrol said there were 136 crashes statewide during the day Friday, but those numbers haven’t been updated overnight.
MnDOT’s Anne Meyer is encouraging drivers to put back on their “winter driving skill” cap. She says that means slowing down, allowing yourself plenty of room between yourself and other vehicles.
