MINNEAPOLIS, MINN – Fans of the Foo Fighters are hoping the band will still come to Minnesota after canceling an August 3rd concert at the Gophers’ football stadium.
Foo Fighters just announced their summer tour Tuesday, but the Minneapolis date was removed a few hours later. They pulled out of the show over what they called, ” Huntington Bank Stadium’s refusal to agree to the band’s Covid safety measures.” Foo Fighters said in a statement, “We apologize for any inconvenience and are working on finding a suitable replacement.”
The U of M said the on-campus policies related to vaccines, mask-wearing, personal hygiene, and other precautions are aligned with state and federal guidelines.
The Foo Fighters last came to Minnesota in 2018, when they played the Xcel Energy Center on their Concrete and Gold tour.
