WARD COUNTY, N.D.- A Minot man was killed after being struck by an SUV south of Ryder, North Dakota.
The State Patrol says that a northbound van stopped on the shoulder of Highway 28 around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. The occupants got out. A dog got loose from the vehicle and as the man tried to catch it, he was hit by the oncoming SUV. That driver, a 23-year-old woman from New Town, was not hurt. It was raining at the time. No charges were filed.
The 23-year old victim’s name is being withheld at this time.
