GEORGETOWN, Minn. (KFGO) – Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says the four children injured in a pickup-school bus collision north of Moorhead have all been released from the hospital.
They were hurt, along with the driver of the pickup, in the collision near Georgetown, last Thursday morning. Empting said shortly after the crash that it appeared that the pickup driver, identified as 30-year-old Joel Shipley of Fargo, failed to yield to the bus. The bus driver was 61-year-old Todd Kappes of Ada.
Empting says the county attorney’s office will determine whether anyone will be cited. The bus was from the Ada Borup-West School District.
