ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – A Moorhead man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of having a loaded handgun in his home after the deadly shooting of a child in Moorhead in early March.
34-year-old Phillip Jones Jr. was not home when a visiting child found the loaded gun in the kitchen. The gun went off, with a bullet striking another child. j
Jones has prior felony convictions in Anoka and Hennepin Counties and is banned from having guns or ammunition. Jones will be sentenced later.
