THIEF RIVER FALLS, MINN. (KFGO) – A Thief River Falls, Minnesota man now faces a first-degree murder charge in a deadly duplex fire. A Pennington County grand injury also indicted 23-year-old Devon Pulczinski for second-degree murder and first-degree arson Thursday.
Firefighters found the body of 23-year-old Alexandra Ellingson on the upper floor of the burning home in Thief River Falls on March 27th. The medical examiner determined she died of homicide due to asphyxiation. Fire investigators said a towel located near her body tested positive for flammable liquids.
Pulczinski remains jailed on a ten-million-dollar bond. His next court date is August 6th.
