JAMESTOWN, ND (KFGO) – The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association and a farmer are offering a 40-thousand dollar reward for information that leads to a conviction in the deaths of more than 58 cows in a pasture near Jamestown.
The pregnant cows were found dead July 29th on land leased by Brian Amundson. An N-D-S-U Veterinarian ruled out a number of potential causes for the cattle deaths and concluded that they were not a result of disease or anything natural.
The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office says the cattle deaths may be connected to a pair of fires on the Amundson ranch in April that burned two-thousand bales of hay worth 200-thousand dollars.
