MOORHEAD (KFGO) – It’s back to school for kids in Moorhead and enrollment numbers are up.
Students returned to full-time in-person learning Monday. Moorhead Area Public Schools reported 7,336 students in grades K-12 enrolled for the first day, which continues a recent trend of high enrollment. The District has 183 more students than last year.
Superintendent Dr. Brandon Lunak says he’s happy to welcome students in person and to open the Moorhead High School Career Academy. The opening of the academy is the first stage in what the district calls a five-year high school transformation project that includes innovating the educational experience.
Construction of a new Moorhead High School began in May and will continue in stages through the 2024-25 school year.
