WASHINGTON, D.C. (MNN) – Sports bookmakers still put Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar far back in the pack of presidential contenders, despite her sterling reviews from some national media outlets after the first-round Democratic debate.
Scott Cooley, spokesman for Sportsbetting.ag, says Klobuchar could be termed a “long shot” or “heavy underdog”. Cooley says, “Right now she’s got 50-to-1 odds, which trail the front runners who are all less than 10-to-1 odds on the odds board at this point.”
Leading the Democratic pack, oddsmakers put Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders.Cooley says in 2016 more money was bet on the election than the Super Bowl, and predicts the 2020 election will be “the most wagered-on political event in betting history.”
