There’s a YouTube Midwest Star Charlie Berens that my kids got me hooked on. He makes us take a funny look in the mirror at our own quirks. One of those sayings is, “don’t drive past 3 Culvers” It’s good advice. Honestly for the price and the quality it’s a nice mid-range burger option.
It’s a little more expensive than some of the bargain burgers and not quite as upity as the gourmet burgers. Those are delicious and for our family more of a treat.
Here’s my honest take for $7.29 I got a burger that was bigger and fresher than my fast food options but for less than $8 the basket added crinkle cut fries and a soda. The bun wasn’t pressed and scrunched. The burger didn’t have the cookie cutter look and taste. I’m not saying it was top notch. But when budgets are tightening in this current economy. The fires? B+.
I didn’t have to sacrifice taste and portion size just for the sake of price. Oh by the way. The cheese curds? Really good. Really reasonable. No need to drive by.
