FARGO (KFGO) – An early morning Fargo apartment fire has displaced two people.
Fargo firefighters responded to a report of a fire on the roof of an apartment building at 110 1/2 9th Street South at around 12 a.m. Thursday. On arrival, they found the fire on the roof on the building. Firefighters entered and found the fire had extended from the roof into the wall of an apartment on the second-story.
After a second alarm was called, Crews began working to gain access to the fire from the outside on ladders, the inside of the apartment, and from the roof of the second story. Other crews evacuated any residents that were still inside. The fire was declared knocked down at 12:31 a.m.
There were no injuries to residents or firefighters. Two residents who lived in the apartment affected by the fire were displaced. The Red Cross assisted them with temporary housing.
The initial estimate for the damage is $30,000.
