GRAND FORKS, N.D. (UND Athletics) — Five student-athletes from the University of North Dakota hockey program were honored by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) as Krampade All-America Scholars on Monday afternoon.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.6 GPA for each semester, regardless of whether the school’s hockey team was able to play this season or not, and featured 532 Division I men’s ice hockey players.
Jacob Bernard-Docker, Brendan Budy, Judd Caulfield, Ethan Frisch and Josh Rieger all received the honor from North Dakota for 2020-21, with Bernard-Docker earning his third selection of his career. Caulfield, Frisch and Rieger collected their second honors while Budy was a first-time recipient.
