MOORHEAD, Minn. (MSUM Athletics) — Minnesota State University Moorhead head men’s basketball coach Chad Walthall has announced that Trever Kaiser of Dassel, Minn., and Jaden Stanley-Williams of Rocky Boy, Mont., have signed to join the Dragon program this fall.
A 6-foot-2 guard, Kaiser is a graduate transfer from the University of Mary and will have two years of collegiate eligibility remaining. Kaiser led the Marauders in scoring in 2020-21 at 17.4 points per game and hit a team-best 29 three-pointers. He appeared in 70 games over three seasons at UMary. At Dassel-Cokato (Minn.) High School, Kaiser is the school’s all-time leading scorer with more than 1,600 points. He was two-time all-conference.
“Trever joins our program as a graduate transfer from the University of Mary and will have two years eligibility remaining,” Walthall said. “He already has great experience and is a proven player in the NSIC. Trever plays with grit defensively. He is a very good perimeter shooter but also a threat to attack off the dribble.”
A 6-foot-7 forward, Stanley-Williams spent the past two seasons at Division I Morehead State, where he appeared in 35 games over the past two seasons. Prior to that he played at Columbia State. At Discovery High School in Georgia, he was an all-star selection and an all-region honorable-mention selection.
“Jaden ironically joins the Dragon program from Division I Morehead State in Kentucky,” Walthall said. “Jaden’s skill set fits our system well as he is a multi-dimensional forward who can play the low post position well, and also has the ability to shoot and make plays off the dribble from the perimeter.”
