BURNSVILLE, Minn. (MSUM Athletics) — Minnesota State University Moorhead senior Nadir Yusuf has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Yusuf set a school record and became the first Dragon individual athlete to win a title at the Drake Relays last Thursday. He won the 10,000-meter run in 29:12.04, which is an NCAA automatic qualifying time, shattering his previous school record by more than 46 seconds.
The time is also fourth-best in Division II and best in the NSIC this season.
