FARGO (KFGO) – Voters who planned to cast an early ballot in Tuesday’s North Dakota Democratic primary were surprised when they arrived at the polls.
Voting began at 11 am, but several people who showed up to cast ballots at the F-M Labor Temple expected the polls to be open much earlier.
“To come here and find out that it’s not open until 11 is frustrating” Sandy Osborne of Fargo said.
“It’s pretty poor planning” according to James Basaraba of Fargo. “I really enjoy having the right to vote…even though it’s frustrating with something like this.”
Democrats have an eight-hour window where they can show up at 14 locations across the state. Voting hours are between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Republicans will caucus from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at nine locations statewide.
