(KFGO/KNFL) – The final awards for the North Dakota Class B girls basketball season came out on Monday.
15 players earned All-State honors, as voted on by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
Abby Duchscherer of Kindred, Mackenzie Hughes of Thompson, Samantha Oase of Hettinger-Scranton, Carlee Sieben of Grafton and Ellie Braaten of Westhope-Newburg earned first-team honors.
It’s the fourth straight season for Duchscherer to be a first-team selection. It’s the second consecutive season for Hughes to be nominated first-team for the Class B Senior Athlete of the Year.
Oase earned her third straight first-team recognition and was named Miss Basketball in North Dakota.
Sieben helped the Grafton Spoilers to a Class B girls basketball championship with a 64-50 win over Central Cass.
