MINOT, N.D. – The Kindred Vikings will play in their first Class B boys basketball championship game in program history, following a 60-42 win over Four Winds-Minnewaukan.
Matthew Pearson scored 18 points and hit 6 three-pointers for Kindred, while Paul Olson added 15 points and Jaiden Peraza had 10 points.
Kindred outscored Four Winds-Minnewaukan 37-16 in the second half and limited the Indians to 7-of-30 shooting in the final 16 minutes.
JaeShaun Shaw paced the Indians with 10 points and now has 1,001 career points.
The Vikings (20-4 overall) will play Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier in the title game at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday from the Minot State Dome.
Four Winds-Minnewaukan (24-2 overall) squares off with Grafton in the third-place contest at 6 p.m.
