BISMARCK, N.D. – Lydia Mattern scored a season-high 20 points and Fargo Shanley moved into the Class A semifinals with a 56-51 win over Bismarck Legacy.
Mattern shot 6-10 from the floor and went 8-8 from the free-throw line. Mo Hakim added 12 points and 14 rebounds while Emily Srejma tailed 12 points and 12 rebounds for Shanley.
Jaiden Baker scored a team-high 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Bismarck Legacy. Sabres senior Arianna Berryhill left the game with a knee injury with 7:48 left in the first half and never returned. Legacy was leading 14-12.
Shanley moves into the semifinals on Saturday at 3 p.m. against Bismarck Century from the Bismarck Events Center.
