FARGO, ND (KFGO) – Fargo Police have identified the driver and victim of a fatal crash over the weekend.
Officers responded to a crash on Great Northern Dr. and 18 St. N. Saturday and found 19-year-old Elijah Viestenz’s badly damaged vehicle and an unresponsive 21-year-old Isaiah Johnson lying on the ground. Johnson was transported to a local hospital where he later died. Officers found that Viestenz had fled the scene after the crash, he was eventually located by West Fargo Police at his house. Johnson was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
Viestenz was arrested for DUI and Criminal Vehicular Injury.
