JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota/KFGO) – The Jamestown Public School Board moved to approve a new curriculum that includes aviation and drone technology in the future.
Jamestown Public School Superintendent Dr. Rob Lech says the opportunity in Career and Technical Education has been in the works for some time. He added that the biggest hurdle was the cost of equipment for a course such as drones and drone technology.
As drone technology continues to evolve, it’s believed the curriculum would benefit students and provide them the opportunity to explore, with the plan to expand to the next level.
There may even be opportunities for the community as well.
