BEMIDJI, Minn. (KFGO) – A Bemidji woman has been arrested for murder in the late-night shooting death of her brother-in-law on Christmas Day.
36-year-old Janelle Johnson is facing a second-degree murder charge for the death of 48-year-old Jesse Farris. His body was found outside his home near Bemidji.
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office says Johnson and her husband drove to the home of her sister and brother-in-law to confront Farris about domestic abuse when an argument began and Johnson shot Farris.
Johnson’s husband, Austin, is also in jail. He’s accusing of providing the gun used in the shooting of Farris. He died of multiple bullet wounds.
