MOORHEAD, MINN. (KFGO) – Moorhead Police called off a stand-off with a man who fired a shot into the floor of a home in the 2500 block of 6th Avenue North Sunday morning.
A family member who called 911 reported that during an argument, the intoxicated suspect fired the shot and the family member left. Officers tried to make contact with the man but decided to leave the area about two hours after arriving so they wouldn’t escalate the situation.
Several hours later, the man contacted the police and gave a statement. Police then collected firearms and other evidence in the home. The man was not arrested and the investigation continues.
