FARGO – The West Fargo Packers avoided a quarterfinal round upset against Bismarck Legacy in the Class A state tournament on Thursday.
West Fargo won 3-1 (21-25, 25-15, 25-20, 26-24) over the number four seed from the WDA in Legacy.
Halle Erickson recorded 23 kills, 22 digs and 12 assists for Packers as they improve to 27-2 overall.
The Packers will play the winner of Jamestown and West Fargo Sheyenne at 7 p.m. in the semifinals from the Fargodome.
Camaryn Beasley finished with a match-high 49 assists and 19 digs for Legacy. The Sabres drop to 11-9 overall and will play in the consolation semifinals at 1 p.m. on Friday.
