UPDATE:
MINOT, N.D. (KFGO) – A fire has destroyed a three-story apartment complex in downtown Minot. It was reported early Wednesday.
According to city spokesman Derik Hackett, about 30 firefighters were still on scene mid-morning, working knock down flames still burning on the third floor of the building. No serious injuries were reported.
There are 28 apartments in the building, 26 were occupied and Hackett said a large number of tenants were replaced.
Hackett says it’s too soon to determine how or where the fire started. Minot Central School and the Ward County Courthouse and county jail are nearby.
Firefighters were expected to remain on scene throughout Wednesday
Hackett says streets in the area were closed and traffic tie-up’s were expected to continue for some time today.

MINOT, N.D. (KFGO) – Firefighters have battled a large fire in downtown Minot overnight.
Police tell KFGO News, an officer on patrol reported the fire just after midnight. We’re told it’s a 30 unit apartment building on the edge of the downtown, across the street from the courthouse.
The lieutenant we spoke with says not all the apartments were occupied. There’s no word if there have been injuries.
Those who escaped the fire are being assisted by the Red Cross.
