In This Podcast: Dr. Juan Cabanela, MSU-M professor of Astronomy and Physics remembers one of the greatest thinkers, Stephen Hawking, author of “A Brief History of Time,” who passed away this week.
He remembers seeing Hawking at the University of Minnesota in 1989 and remarked at how deeply he thought and spoke. He spoke of “imaginary time,” as a way of solving certain problems and jusing “imaginary numbers.”
The past 25-years Hawking has been working on solving what happened at “the moment of the Big Bang.”
Who’ll figure that out now that he’s gone? Dr. Cabanela, perhaps?
