The EpiPen is a lifesaving device able to quickly and easily deliver a life-saving drug epinephrine during a serious allergic reaction.
And now, we are seeing a short-term shortage of the life-saving device.
IN THIS PODCAST: Local Pharmacist Dave Olig, of Southpointe Pharmacy, joins Amy & JJ to discuss the shortage.
His advice: If you still have a “not so expired” EpiPen, keep it around! While they do lose potency, it’s important to have something over nothing. And, please, consult your Pharmacist and don’t be afraid to ‘shop around’ for the an EpiPen if you need one.
