Fargo Public Schools is proud to debut the new mascot nickname and logo for the Fargo North-South Girls’ Hockey program. The team will officially be known as the Spruins.
North-South Girls’ Hockey team members collaborated to find a nickname and logo that represented each school. Spruins combines the current Fargo North Spartans mascot and the Fargo South Bruins mascot. It shows a Bruin bear wearing a Spartan helmet and encompasses each school’s colors; Navy (North), Brown (South), and Gold (shared).
The Spruins mascot logo was created by FPS Graphic and Web Design artist Tyler Brown. It embodies the fierceness of a Bruin and Spartan in a professional, clean, fun, and serious manner.
The North-South Girls’ Hockey program was formed in 2014 as a co-op between Fargo North and Fargo South. FPS is excited to add the new mascot nickname and logo to this program. The Spruins season begins November 9, 2020.
