Chicken and Waffles have been a staple of southern cuisine for decades. The salty and savory taste of friend chicken mixing with the sweet and sugary taste of waffles with syrup. It’s hard to imagine that it took KFC this long to roll out a promotion like this.
Originally tested in the Carolinas, the national appeal for this breakfast/lunch/dinner treat can be seen in the massive amount of people who are willing to try the dish for the first time. Amy Iler, is one of those folks.
Here is what we received. A piece of breast meat with the Colonel’s original recipe of 11 herbs and spices, a waffle that is coated in a light (and unseen) sugar mixture, and a condiment sized tub of Mrs. Buttersworth syrup.
