Milnor Public School Superintendent Chris Larson joins It Takes 2 to talk about 3 bills the education community in North Dakota is following regarding firearms in schools.
Here are the bill numbers:
HB 1325
– Would allow conceal & carry in pubic schools, and circumvent the power of the local school board.
HB 1310
– Would broaden conceal & carry law.
HB 1317
– Could hold a school liable for a shooting if firearms are not allowed in the property.
These 3 bills could drastically change how we conduct school safety now.
Larson says, “I don’t oppose firearms in schools, I’m fully in support of school resource officers having firearms… that’s a lot different than conceal and carry…”
