Too Tall Tom joins Amy and JJ every Tuesday with some tidbits about the upcoming weather forecast.
In this conversation, Too Tall brings in the current 2018-2019 snow total (59.3 inches) which would make Amy the winner of the fall snow predictions…except for the fact that a major winter storm is headed and covers most of the Midwest.
The storm system peaks at or just below Grand Forks, with the Fargo area seeing little (at this time) snow and some blustery wind gusts (up to 30mph).
Head just south to Watertown, Sioux Falls and the Twin Cities – there is a drastic change. South Dakota is going to, as Tom put it, “take one for the team.” They may see up to 18 inches or more in some places, wet and heavy snow plus some high winds causing blizzard conditions.
The long story short – if you are headed from Fargo to anywhere south…leave early and be prepared not to make it back on Thursday!
