When Too Tall Tom told everyone he was headed off to Iceland for a week, most of us thought, “Iceland? Why?”
Upon his return, Tom regaled us with stories of his adventures in Iceland. Notably, how during the summer months – the sun never fully disappears. In the middle of the night, it still resembles dusk or dawn in the midwest.
(The picture above was taken just after 1:00am, Iceland time)
Tom goes on to explain how the weather patterns, thanks to the proximity to the ocean, keep things pretty mild for both winter and summer weather. He does note that the wind and cold off of the ocean can be bone chilling at times!
We also get a surprise call from a real Icelander, Curt, as well as his wife Bjork! They provide some color commentary and back Too Tall up on all of his facts.
