A rancher, who’s name is being withheld, was trying to clear a field of a yellow jacket nest. A single spark from his hammer hitting a rod he was driving into the nest ignited and the rest is a history of devastation to the California countryside.
Burning more than 95,000 acres and lasting 13 days, this was only one of the life changing wild fires that California faced in 2018.
Steve Futterman, CBS News Correspondent, joins It Takes Two with Amy and JJ to educate KFGO listeners on the findings that a team of experts have come up with concerning how the fire first started.
