Hailey Weigel is the first to admit that she made bad choices. She started smoking at a young age and switched to vaping because she believed it was a healthier and more socially acceptable alternative.
Her mother constantly sent Hailey and her boyfriend articles about the dangers of vaping. New studies that showed significant health risks associated with vaping as well as the vaping devices. After reading one, she told her boyfriend she was scared – unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to get them to stop. A short time later, Hailey was hospitalized with a vaping related injury. For a time, it twas unclear what Hailey’s fate would be.
Luckily, Hailey is recovering. And now, her goal is to share her story to help others before it is too late.
Hailey has been invited into schools to talk about her ordeal and spread her message about the dangers of vaping. They may be available in cotton candy or other flavors aimed at younger people, but don’t fall for the advertising. Vaping can be extremely dangerous.
