FARGO, ND – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks earn a 4-game series sweep over the Winnipeg Goldeyes with 3-2 victory Thursday night.
Fargo-Moorhead got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning on a Christian Ibarra RBI single that plated Drew Ward to take a 1-0 lead.
The Goldeyes answered in the top of the sixth inning when Jonathan Maroney’s RBI single drove in Wes Darvil to ties things up a t 1-1.
The ‘Hawks took the lead back in the bottom of the sixth when Correlle Prime scored on a Dylan Kelly RBI single to make it 2-1.
The Goldeyes tied the game at 2-2 on a Kevin Lachance solo home run in the top of the 8th inning.
Brennan Metzger drove in Kelly in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the RedHawks to a 3-2 win.
The RedHawks and Goldeyes begin a new series with Winnipeg as the home team Friday night, Jack Michaels will have the call, pregame at 6:40 p.m. first pitch 7:02 p.m. on 740 The Fan and 107.3FM.
