FARGO, ND (KFGO) – No one was injured Thursday afternoon during a fire on the campus of NDSU.
At 12:44 p.m. Fargo firefighters were dispatched to a report of a fire at NDSU’s Ladd Hall.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire in one of the chemistry labs. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire preventing it from spreading to other areas of the building.
The lab was not occupied at the time the fire was discovered by staff and there were no injuries. The lab sustained significant smoke and fire damage.
A damage assessment is not available at this time. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Immediate action by on site staff to initiate the 9-1-1 system allowed firefighters to arrive on scene quickly. The Fargo Fire Department responded with 20 firefighters, 6 apparatus, and one command vehicle
